Windows PowerShell と PowerShell と Azure PowerShell

PowerShell について、自分でも混乱するので少し整理。

Windows PowerShell 5.1 と PowerShell 7.x はコマンドシェルで、併存が可能です。

Azure PowerShell は、Az という名前の PowerShell モジュールであり、Windows PowerShell または PowerShell を使用する必要があります。

Windows PowerShell 5.1

• .Net Framework 4.5 上に構築されている
• Windows OS 上で動作
• Windows 10、Windows 11 にはインストール済み

PowerShell 7.x

• PowerShell 6.0 から .NET Core 2.0 上に構築され、オープン ソース プロジェクトになった
• Linux および macOS 上の PowerShell は .NET Core を使用しており、対応している
• PowerShell 7 には、Windows PowerShell 互換機能が含まれている

Azure PowerShell

• クロスプラットフォーム PowerShell モジュール
• Windows、macOS、Linux で実行される
• Windows PowerShell または PowerShell が必要
